Ingredients

½ cup popcorn kernels

2 tablespoons avocado oil (or canola/grapeseed oil)

1–2 fresh jalapeños, thinly sliced (adjust to taste)

½ teaspoon sea salt

Optional:

¼ teaspoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon cheddar cheese powder

¼ teaspoon lime zest

¼ teaspoon smoked paprika

Instructions

Heat oil in a large, heavy-bottomed pot over medium heat.

Add jalapeño slices and sauté for 2–3 minutes to infuse oil.

(Optional) Remove jalapeños for less heat or leave them in for extra spice.

Add popcorn kernels, cover with lid, and shake pot occasionally.

When popping slows to 2-second intervals, remove from heat.

Season with salt and any optional flavorings.

              Serve immediately and enjoy warm.

                Notes

                • Use dried jalapeño flakes or powder for convenience.
                • Adjust the number of jalapeños to control the heat level.
                • Air-popped popcorn can be used if you skip the oil step and add infused oil later.
